A 16-year-old girl who says she had her dad drive her to buy heroin says she was raped by the dealer, while her dad waited outside in the car.
The girl told police she had asked her dad to give her a ride to a “friend’s house.” Here dad was suspicious and told her “if she wasn’t out in one minute he was going to come in after her.”
She says the dealer stopped her as she left and said, “Stop, when you gonna give me some of that.”
She told him her dad was waiting outside, but the dealer took her to a couch and raped her, she said.
After the rape, the girl says she went home and snorted the heroin she had bought.
Her dad says he later overheard her crying and telling her boyfriend what had happened and brought her to the hospital.
The girl reports she began snorting heroin about two years ago and has been injecting twice a day for the eighteen months.

Many people start using in their early to mid teens (and quite a few before their teens).
Addicted children are even more vulnerable than adults to exploitation. And they are often more isolated from recovery resources.
This story is sad on so many levels. But worth reading, I think. I suspect from the full news story that the father was aware of the drug use, and was probably struggling to figure out how to deal with it.
